ePublisher Announcement - Launch of Flyingcows Social Website

June 22nd, 2008 by Kent Zeng

Flyingcows is a website that i have put up for sharing social bookmarks. Although that social bookmarking websites are not a new thing on the internet arena, many people still don’t know a sh*t about it… it pisses me off sometimes explaining it. :)

Generally, Social Bookmarking is a good way to share good information and websites across to people on the internet worldwide, sumitting in various topics. However there will be some people who doesn’t know what it is, and some don’t know how to submit a link. So… at the bottom of the post here, is a dummy tutorial that i have put up to show you how you can do it step by step, this avoids me having to explain a billion times, again and again. I have learned a hard lesson on pitching to dear friends, being commented on it when they know absolutely nothing about it, regardless of your efforts. (Typical asians!) I need your support, not that i need to know that you don’t need my website! I like to see it as, join in the fun, comment about it and make the site better, nothing else. A win win solution, and no selfish and fishy doings just to get people to join me. (Disallowed Behavior)

Anyways. By all means, good contents should not just sit and rot, rite? It should be shared and commented by people who reads it, thats the way i see it in the internet’s point of view. If you are up to the challenge, or rather… more willing to share your good information with us, join us at flyingcows and submit your favorite websites. You don’t always have to keep things to yourself. :)

If you would like a link to you by all means contact us @ webmaster@flyingcows.co.cc

We would love to hear from you. Untill the next update, we’ll write again! Take care!

ePublisher Blog - Hostings with no PHP restrictions.

June 15th, 2008 by Kent Zeng

No matter how bad the host may seem, there are always some people that will be loyal to their service. Its almost like worshipping them, comment it the best service they have ever found! Now, I think there is always something to be challenged, if there is nothing as good or better to be found out there on the internet!

So this is how i ended up writing this post. There is much frustrations when there are many restrictions on getting your scripts to work on the servers, you have put in hours of hardwork and you find that its not working in the end, this calls for some action man!

So how often do you find webhostings without any php restrictions? The answer is, not often… but! i have found 2 which will really be wonderful to know of. And here’s the hosts that i have found.

x10Hosting.com

Provides you a 300mb sub domain, 10gb transfer per month for ad free hostings and a up to 2.5gb sub domain with up to 45gb transfer per month for ad enhanced hostings. Pretty good for a free hosting huh? On top of that you are allowed to park domains which some free hosting companies do not even allow you to do that. You will be able to send email with your hosting account via your scripts and custom your email addresses to your preferences. Its a die for i must say, if you are into getting the most out of any free hosting services. It is equipped with CPanel and Fantastico for easy installations of widely available web scripts. Hosting with them is a no brainer! Get yours today… :)

My ratings 8/10

000Webhost.com

This is another great hosting that provides a much standard service. A 350mb web space and 100gb transfer per month, an easy to use Cpanel and not without Fantastico, a very important tool to quickly install scripts. Hosting a script on the web is about getting it to work online, if it doesn’t work its probably time to find something that does.

My ratings 8.5/10

As an example, here is a website that i have put up, its public and its live, no frequent downtimes, and almost no hiccups. So visit here > http://www.flyingcows.co.cc/
